Job Title: Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

Location: Arlington, VA
Clearance: Active TS/SCI Required
 

 

Position Overview

Object CTalk Inc. is seeking an experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support a mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) customer. The successful candidate will support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle, Security Impact Assessments (SIA), continuous monitoring, and STIG compliance activities for enterprise systems.

 

This position requires a cybersecurity professional with strong experience in RMF, vulnerability management, eMASS, ACAS, Nessus, XACTA, STIG implementation, POA&M management, NIST 800-53 Security Controls and DoD cybersecurity compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle for assigned information systems.

  • Perform Security Impact Assessments (SIA) and support continuous monitoring activities.

  • Execute, review, and validate DISA STIG scan results and manually validate STIG checklists.

  • Analyze ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scan results and identify security findings requiring remediation.

  • Work with System Owners and technical teams to remediate or mitigate vulnerabilities.

  • Develop and maintain Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).

  • Track remediation efforts through Remedy tickets and provide regular status updates.

  • Complete monthly STIG compliance reporting and quarterly STIG/SRG checklist validations.

  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories.

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).

  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities and maintain security documentation within eMASS.

  • Provide cybersecurity recommendations in accordance with DoD and Air Force cybersecurity policies.

  • Prepare management reports and communicate security posture to stakeholders.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance

    • Bachelor's degree. Experience may be substituted for education.  

  • Minimum 8 years of cybersecurity experience

    • Current one or more of the following Certification: Security+ , SSCP, GSEC,

SCNP

  • Experience supporting:

    •  DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)

    •  DISA STIGs and vulnerability remediation

  • Security Impact Assessments (SIA)

  • ACAS/Nessus

  • eMASS

  • XACTA

  • POA&M Management

  • Continuous Monitoring

  • Security Documentation

  • ATO Support is a plus.

  • DoD Cybersecurity Compliance

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience coordinating remediation activities with system owners and technical teams
