Information Technology (IT) Customer Support Specialist

  The IT Customer Support specialist will provide Onsite IT support support for classroom, IT systems. student IT systems and faculty and    staff IT equipment.  The support will be as follows:

  ROLE:

  •    Use Army help desk and Enterprise Service Desk systems to create, modify, track, update and resolve new or assigned customer support request service ticket. 

  • Install and maintain Microsoft Windows desktop, laptop and tablet operating systems and local client application software to current Army configuration, service pack, patch, and security fix and virus definition standards.

  •  Submit requests to establish new, maintain, delete, and troubleshoot Active Directory accounts. 

  •  Trouble-shoot and resolve user/client standard application/configuration problems via telephone assistance call, remote control and at  user locations.

  •   Perform troubleshooting to resolve E-Mail problems.

  •   Provide network registration of client equipment into the asset management application.

  •  ​  Monitors networks and systems, and detects and reports problems.

  •    Assist System Administrators with testing of local client applications and security patches.

  •    Create documentation for technical processes.

  •   Perform documentation and technical analysis of system changes to determine if the load/special instructions, ADP logic,     /user  run documentation, restart procedures, scheduling information and Continuity of Operations (COOP) are in accordance  with the  design specifications.

   

   SKILLS NEEDED:  

  •    5 years of IIT Customer Support experience is required supporting the DoD. 

  • Experience supporting the US Army is preferred.

  • Experience with help desk. enterprise service desk systems is required. 

  • Experience with installing and maintain Windows Desktop, laptops and tablets is required.

  • A Secret clearance and a Sec+  or a A+  or a Network + certification is required.
